Jackpot Capital’s Glamma is in …..Macau!

Here at Slots Play Casinos we like to report on happy events in the online casino world.  One of the happiest events throughout 2024 has been Glamma’s Adventures a promotion from Jackpot Capital, one of our recommended casinos.

Who is Glamma?

Glamma is a septuagenarian motorcycle mama who has been travelling all over the world this year taking in what she terms her “post-Covid bucket list”.  Before Covid, Glamma would hot rod it out there on the highway, looking for adventure and whatever came her way.

Now Glamma has expanded her travelling horizons and she literally is covering the globe.

Where is Glamma Now?

Glamma is in the fascinating Chinese enclave of Macau.  Macau is a peninsula that sticks out from the Chinese mainland into the South China Sea.  Macau is famous for its casinos, beaches, and unique cuisine.  A large swath of the nation is registered by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site.

This designation includes many buildings that go back to the Portuguese settlement of the land back in the 16th century.  Portugal “returned” Macau to China in 1999 after a long negotiation that defined how Macau would be treated by the still very communist Chinese government.

Well, happily, the Chinese government is a lot less communist now than it was then and that leaves Macau to remain a very capitalistic enclave within China.

Is Macau Still Portuguese?

In architecture, art, and cuisine, the Portuguese influence is still strong.  The Heritage Sites are almost all from the Portuguese centuries.  But 95% of the people of Macau are Chinese.  That obviously means that the millennia of Chinese culture also influenced Macau in many ways.

What Does Glamma Plan to Do in Macau?

Glamma has been taking her wheel everyone she goes.  The wheel is part of the promotion whereby gamers can spin the wheel and receive top prizes such as a 222% deposit bonus!  Anyone who has ever taken a deposit bonus at any of our more than 30 recommended online casinos knows that a 222% bonus is huge!

September is the month of the Macau International Fireworks Display Contest.  Glamma will be there for the fireworks on September 7th, 14th, and 21st.  The fireworks will also continue on October 1st but Glamma is planning to already be at her next destination (a secret) by then.

Glamma Will Eat at a Different Restaurant Every Day

The country of Macau has a permanent population of just over 700,000.  Because of the beaches, the cuisine, the Heritage Sites, and the casinos millions of vacationers make their way to Macau every year.

With that large a population, you would expect there to be many excellent restaurants and there are.   Glamma plans to check out the unique Macanese foods.

Food for Thought

Travel writers have called Macanese food the world’s foremost fusion cuisine.  The Portuguese and Chinese influences are strong and the Macanese chefs also incorporate elements of African, Indian, and Malaysian tastes, textures, and ingredients.

Glamma wants to taste minchi.  This is a sweet dish with a ground beef base sweetened with true molasses and made salty with soy sauce.  Glamma remembers having molasses at home when she was a child but today, in the United States, molasses is a bit hard to find.  So Glamma wants to find out how ground beef, soy sauce, and molasses combine.

South America lends its culinary ideas with stews based on beans and pork.  As there are many different kinds of beans, there are many different kinds of Macanese stews.

Glamma has been researching the many variations in foods and seasonings that go into Macanese cuisine and she is looking forward to a taste treat every day!

World Heritage Site

There are 22 sites listed as part of the Macau UNESCO World Heritage Site.  Glamma is planning on seeing as many of these sites as she can between ventures into Macanese cuisine.  Many of the sites are located in Squares that are dominated by churches.

This alone points to the European and Portuguese influence as churches were never a part of the religious traditions of China.

In a sense, the World Heritage Sites in Macau comprise a giant indoor and outdoor museum of ancient history, architecture, and culture both religious and secular.  As such, Glamma is truly fascinated by what awaits her in September in Macau.

There Are Casinos in Macau

Indeed, there are.

Slots Play Casinos is an advocate for online casino gaming.  However, we do recognize the attraction of some land-based casinos.  The casinos of Macau would be among the land-based casinos we could recommend for a visit.

Glamma will visit them but just to see their beauty and to marvel at the grandness of the casinos themselves and of the people who travel very long distances to gamble there.

Glamma will use the excellent Jackpot Capital mobile platform for gaming if she feels the urge to spin a few reels late at night!

Jackpot Capital Has Earned Our Recommendation

Jackpot Capital has about 300 games.  They have many variations of video poker and blackjack.  They have added cryptocurrencies as banking options.  They use the best encryption software to protect gamers’ money.  And they run great promotions such as Glamma’s Adventures.

Jackpot Capital also publishes a blog that helps gamers get the most fun out of gaming there.

Slots Play Casinos is Bursting with Pride

We love to see one of our recommended casinos develop an innovative idea to make online casino gaming even more fun.  We invite you to access our site often to receive the most updated news about online casino gaming.
